Overview
The Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) is committed to assisting local school systems in improving student achievement. As a result, divisions within the Department are providing assistance to districts in a variety of ways. This site includes a description of services local school systems may request from MSDE to support them in improving student achievement. The services are divided into the following three categories:
- Support/professional development that can be accessed by all local school systems (Directory 1)
- Support/professional development that can be accessed under certain conditions as described in the directory (Directory 2)
- Support/professional development that can be accessed by local school systems that apply and are accepted for a particular grant (e.g., districts that receive the 21st Century Community Learning Centers Grant get support/professional development in grant implementation through the Division for Student, Family, and School Support) (Directory 3)
