The Division of Early Childhood Development (DECD) periodically solicits proposals from the early care and education community to expand or enhance services or programs to promote the healthy development and school readiness of Maryland's children.  Listed below are current solicitations for proposals (click on the links for more information):

Request for Proposals (RFP) FY 2013:


NEW!  Child Care Research Grant.  The purpose of this grant is to conduct qualitative and quantitative research on administrative State data to study continuity of care and customer choice of quality care.  Click here for the full text of the RFP.

NEW!  Family Engagement in Early Literacy. This RFP, which is funded under the Race to the Top – Early Challenge Grant, is designed to narrow the school readiness gap for children with high needs by supporting the involvement of families in promoting early literacy and reading at home.  Click here for the full text of the RFP.
