MD Child Care Resource Network

The Collaboration and Program Improvement Branch contracts with the Maryland Family Network to operate and administer the statewide Maryland Child Care Resource and Referral Network. Under the contract, every community in Maryland is served by one of twelve regional Child Care Resource Centers.

Counselors help parents locate and evaluate child care. Staff provides technical assistance and training for current and prospective child care providers and technical assistance is provided to employers who are concerned about their employees’ child care needs. Child Care Resource Centers also collect data that documents the child care needs of families and employers and highlights the distinct needs of different regions within the state.
