NOTICE REGARDING THE CRIMINAL BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION LAW
Family Law Article, Title 5, Part VI, Criminal Background Investigations for Employees of Facilities and Other Individuals that Care For or Supervise Children applies to an employee who is initially employed on or after October 1, 1986. This law applies to all nonpublic school employees and employers (owner, operator, proprietor, or legal authority) who have frequent contact with, or access to, students enrolled in a school.
