At KIPP Ujima Village Academy, our mission is to develop in every student the academic skills, intellectual habits, and qualities of character necessary to succeed in rigorous high schools and colleges, self-determined professions, and societal improvement.  KIPP Ujima Village Academy serves approximately 300 students in Northwest Baltimore City. In 2006, 79% of our first group of 8th graders earned admission to public college-preparatory high schools with entrance criteria, and together our 8th graders earned offers of more than $1 million in scholarships to private college-preparatory high schools.
