Lorna L. 'Lori' Frendak is in her eighth year as a Classroom Support Program special educator at North Harford Middle School where she provides services to students with significant academic, social, or emotional issues. Trained as an educator of the visually impaired, Mrs. Frendak, previously taught students with visual challenges in Department of Defense schools located in Germany and at public schools in Oklahoma where she was stationed with her Army officer husband. She provides a safe haven for her students, many of whom having extensive histories of trouble with school and law enforcement officials, while insisting that they accept responsibility for their actions.
