Susan Miller Ward, English Teacher

Susan, a 31-year teaching veteran, began and continues her teaching career at Wicomico High School in Salisbury, Maryland teaching all levels of English, essentials to Advanced Placement, as well as creative writing and drama, grades nine through twelve. Susan has organized a Native American Heritage Week, Holocaust Memorial Ceremonies and Coffeehouse showcases for high school performers and writers. As an adjunct instructor at Salisbury University, Susan has taught a seminar course for student interns. She has served as English department chair since 2001 and co- chair of the Instructional Leadership Team (formerly SIT) since 2002.
