Administrator Standards

Maryland

The Maryland Technology Standards for School Administrators were adapted from the ISTE NETS-A standards and identify the core knowledge and skills school administrators need to optimize the successful use of technology in teaching and learning at the school level.  A toolkit was developed in collaboration with the Maryland Society for Educational Technology (MSET) as a companion to the standards to interpret each of the indicators. In addition, school administrators can use the toolkit to determine their level of competency in meeting each of the technology standards. The toolkit also links to resources administrators can use to learn more about the successful use of technology as defined by each of the standards.

National

ISTE's NETS for Administrators (NETS•A)

Standards for evaluating the skills and knowledge school administrators and leaders need to support digital age learning, implement technology, and transform the education landscape.
