Data Collections and Management Branch

Mission

The Data Collections and Management Branch within the Division of Assessment and Accountability is responsible for collecting, managing, and reporting data on students, staff, and schools from prekindergarten through grade 12 across Maryland’s 24 local education agencies (LEAs). In collaboration with the Accountability and Performance Reporting Branch, other MSDE offices, LEAs, and third-party vendors, the branch ensures that data is collected, stored, validated, and reported in accordance with federal and state requirements.
