The Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) invites public comment on the draft Maryland Pre-K4 Science Early Learning Standards. These standards outline the science and engineering knowledge and skills that children ages four to five can demonstrate when provided with appropriate support and engaging learning experiences.
In Pre-K4, children expand upon the foundational knowledge and skills developed during their earlier years. This stage of learning plays a critical role in fostering curiosity and building a strong foundation in science and engineering, preparing children for continued growth and success in kindergarten and beyond.
Your feedback is essential to ensuring these standards meet the needs of all learners and provide equitable opportunities for high-quality science education.
