Title IV, Part A of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) is the Student Support and Academic Enrichment (SSAE) program. The SSAE program is intended to improve students’ academic achievement by increasing the capacity of Local Educational Agencies (LEAs) and local communities to provide all students with access to a well-rounded education; improve school conditions for student learning; and improve the use of technology to improve the academic achievement and digital literacy of all students.

Customer Service Support Sessions/Office Hours
The MSDE will hold two customer service support sessions/office hours for all LEA Title IV, Part A program managers on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, and Wednesday, August 17, 2022. During these sessions, MSDE personnel will provide feedback for previously submitted drafts, discuss allowable uses of funds, share helpful resources to support application completion, and answer any remaining questions. Additionally, LEA Title IV, Part A program managers have the option to request individual support sessions, as needed, by emailing Jonathan Turner, Lead Specialist, Student Support and Academic Enrichment, at jonathan.turner@maryland.gov.
