What makes us unique:
Trust, respect, responsibility, and joy in learning are the tenants of our school culture. At LMCJ, scholars and teachers are engaged in work that is challenging, adventurous and meaningful. Our scholars are scientists, urban planners, historians and activists; they are investigating community problems and collaborating with peers to develop creative, actionable solutions. Scholars apply their skills and knowledge to real-world issues and make positive change in their communities. At LMCJ, we are committed to developing the whole girl, and helping each scholar achieve her wildest dreams.
At LMCJ, our scholars participate in an event called Celebration of Learning several times per year. They show evidence of the high-quality work they have produced during the previous semester. Our 8th grade students present passage portfolios before a group comprised of their families, teachers, and members from the greater community.

We provide weekend food bags to scholars in need through our partnership with Baltimore Hunger Project.
