Evaluate and make recommendations on improving various aspects of the Division of Rehabilitative Rehabilitation Services’ programs and services
For the purpose of establishing the Commission to Study the Division of Rehabilitation Services to evaluate and make recommendations on improving various aspects of the Division of Rehabilitation Services’ programs and services; and generally relating to the Commission to Study the Division of Rehabilitation Services. This Act shall take effect June 1, 2022. It shall remain effective for a period of 1 year and 1 month and, at the end of June 30, 2023, this Act, with no further action required by the General Assembly, shall be abrogated and of no further force and effect.

The recommendations from this report can serve as a roadmap to elevate, refine, and strengthen practices that DORS is undertaking and should implement to better serve Marylanders. DORS services must be based on continuous improvements and providing best-in-class resources and services. The final recommendations include action items that DORS must continue to focus on implementing and measures that DORS must show diligence in executing and operationalizing.
