Maryland Charter Schools Program Grants

The purpose of the Maryland Charter Schools Program (CSP) is to award grants to eligible applicants to open and prepare for the operation of new charter schools, and for the replication or expansion of high quality charter schools. The first grant awards in this program were announced in September 2018. Supplemental funding was announced in November, 2019.

2022 GRANT ROUND

The 2022 Charter Schools Grant Program has closed. Grants are for the start-up of new charter schools, for replication of high quality charter schools, or for the significant expansion of high quality charter schools. Up to $900,000 may be awarded to a school project. Applications were due May 18, 2022, no later than 5:00 pm EST.
