Testing Content and Data

Maryland’s school improvement efforts include setting high standards for student achievement, measuring academic progress, publicly reporting each school’s performance annually, and taking actio when schools are not making adequate progress.

Maryland measures academic progress each year by administering the Maryland Comprehensive Assessment Program. Information about these assessments can be found on the MSDE Department of Assessment, Accountability, and Information Technology home page. Scores from state assessments are posted on mdreportcard.org. For information about testing dates, please contact your Local School System. Sample test items are available on each of the assessment home pages.
