*The State Board of Education is pleased to resume in-person oral public comment at each of its regular monthly meetings beginning Tuesday, July 27th at 9:00 am. In order to allow the State Board sufficient time for its other business, the total time allotted for public comment will generally be limited to thirty (30) minutes. Individuals seeking to speak to the Board will be given three (3) minutes each and registration is limited to 10 people. Persons desiring to provide public comment must register by calling (410-767-0467) or e-mailing the State Board Office
(stateboard.msde@maryland.gov or charlene.necessary@maryland.gov) no earlier than one week prior to the meeting and no later than 3:00 pm on the Monday immediately preceding the meeting. Registration will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. In order to make the limited time available most effective, speakers are urged to provide multiple written copies of their comments or other material amplifying their views.
