MSDE/SBOE Task Force on Cell Phone Use in Schools

The Task Force on Cell Phone Use in Schools is charged with reviewing current policies on allowable student use of cell phones in Maryland public schools and considering the latest research on the impact of personal devices on school climate and student wellbeing. The task force is made up of a broad-based group of experts from across the state, including parents, students, teachers, administrators, and superintendents. The task force will collaborate to generate guidance for Maryland districts by the spring of 2025.
