What makes us unique:

Pimlico Elementary / Middle School features a newly constructed and renovated 21st Century Building and offers a wealth of opportunities for its students. Unique in Baltimore City is its Pimlico Sinai Middle Grades Health Science Program. This program is a new three-year program starting in 6th grade at Pimlico Elementary/Middle School and administered in partnership with LifeBridge - Sinai Hospital. The partnership provides students an opportunity to take advanced science classes helping prepare them towards a pathway for a medical or health related field. Students will participate in tours and experiential learning through field trips to Sinai Hospital and other locations that complement the program such as an area college or university. In turn, medical and non-medical staff from Sinai Hospital and other partners will be participating in classroom activities that reinforce the curriculum such as demonstrations, lectures, labs, and other hands on learning opportunities. Also, Pimlico offers a Food for Life Program which teaches students about nutrition and health eating habits while give students hands on experiences with preparing fresh, nutritious food. This program operated in conjunction with the school garden which grows fresh, organic produce.

Community:

Pimlico Elementary / Middle School partners with Sinai LifeBridge Hospital for its Health Sciences program, and with Park Heights Renaissance as the Community School lead agency. We hope to continue the Baltimore Curriculum Project's Leading Minds series.
