What makes us unique:

Southwest Baltimore Charter School (SBCS) provides students with a rigorous academic program based on the Expeditionary Learning (EL) model. We teach and measure student achievement in three dimensions:  mastery of skills and knowledge, Habits of Scholarship (HofS), and quality work. Learning at SBCS is active, challenging, collaborative and meaningful. We integrate the arts into our curriculum, and have a robust Fitness and Adventure program. SBCS also emphasizes the natural world and our students have many opportunities for fieldwork in parks and other natural settings.
