What makes us unique:

Watershed Public Charter School (WPCS) emphasizes multidisciplinary project based learning that integrates environmental education and the arts. Students make frequent use of dedicated outdoor spaces and resources. The campus contains a micro farm and chickens! Students have the opportunity to learn by doing, celebrate diversity, and learn about fresh healthy food. Outdoor spaces, resident artists, scientists and farmers and afterschool programming relating to our mission all enhance the program.

Community:

WPCs has installed a community garden and partnered with Neighborspace and several environmental organizations to provide community programming. We hope to work with our landlord to implement a fresh food pantry. We also hope in the future to work with other schools in the Gwynns Falls Watershed on an artist book project.  We will serve as a Professional Development hub for other educators with the assistance of the National Wildlife Federation.

Watershed Public Charter School provides an interconnected learning environment, where hands-on exploration and creative expression foster the learning process. Our community promotes rigorous academic achievement, meaningful outdoor experiences and continuous growth for all students.
