Kenny Clash

Kenny Clash is the Senior Director of Finance and Operations at Intentional Philanthropy, where he oversees financial management, human resources, technology systems, and organizational development. Kenny brings a passion for education, technology, and community development to his role in shaping policy for Maryland’s schools.

Kenny’s extensive career in education includes roles as a Success Coach and Technologist with BridgeEdu, where he supported students at Coppin State University and Baltimore City Community College in their transition from high school to college. At Digital Harbor Foundation, serving as Deputy Director and then Chief Operating Officer, he supported day-to-day operations and various out-of-school STEM programs for Baltimore’s youth. He then joined the Enoch Pratt Free Library, first as Chief Innovation and Technology Officer, where he spearheaded transformational technology initiatives, and later ascended to the role of Chief Operations Officer, overseeing finance, human resources, technology, and facilities operations for the 22-branch library system in Baltimore City.

As a co-founder of Handteq, a mobile application software company based in Maryland, Kenny combines his entrepreneurial expertise with his drive to deliver innovative mobile solutions that streamline operations and enhance user experiences for clients. His leadership and commitment to digital equity are further reflected in his service on the advisory board for the Baltimore Digital Equity Coalition.

A resident of Baltimore County, Kenny has been actively involved in the community since moving to the Baltimore area in 2007, living in the city until 2021. His educational background includes degrees from the University of Virginia and Valley Forge Military College, and he has held roles in higher education, including in the Office of Student Life and as an adjunct faculty member at Howard Community College. Early in his career, Kenny briefly served as a substitute teacher in Baltimore City.

A proud U.S. Army veteran, Kenny served as a Signal Officer, bringing leadership and discipline from his military service to his community work. Outside of his professional endeavors, Kenny is an avid runner with the Baltimore Pacemakers and enjoys spending time with his wife, Val, and their three daughters, Cece, Kennedy, and Harmony. Cece and Kennedy both attend Baltimore County Public Schools, with Harmony set to enroll in two years.
