Decision Summary: The ALJ concluded that the school system complied with the IDEA regulations regarding eligibilliy for special education services and that the placement for the 2020-2021 SY did not deny a FAPE to the student. Therefore, the parent's request for reimbursement of tuition and placement at the non public school was denied.

Decision Summary: The ALJ concluded that the school system's IEP was not reasonably calculated to provide the student with educational benefit and a FAPE. In addition, the ALJ concluded that the parent non public placement was reasonbly calculated to enable the student educational benefits. As a result, the ALJ determined that reimbursement to the parent was due, for certain periods of time, for the cost of the nonpublic school placement.
