Driver Education in Public High Schools Grant Program

Purpose

This grant provides funding to public high schools and nonprofit organizations to assist high schools in offering Driver Education Courses for students. Priority will be provided to public high schools where at least 40% of the registered students are eligible for the federal free or reduced-price meal program or for a nonprofit organization working to offer a driver education course in a public high school where at least 40% of the registered students are eligible for the federal free or reduced-price meal program.





When will the application be open?

This Grant Information Guide (GIG) was re-released on May 23, 2025.


Application Submission Date

Monday, July 28, 2025. No later than 5:00 pm EST.


Funding Amount Available

The total funding amount available for the Driver Education in Public High Schools Grant Program is $2 Million.

Customer Service Support Sessions

MSDE will hold a customer service support session for interested applicants. During this session, MSDE personnel will provide an overview of the application process.
