Applying for Licensure

1. I am a graduate of a Maryland-approved educator preparation program.​

2. I am a graduate of an out-of-state approved educator preparation program and do not hold a license.

3. I hold an active professional license from another state, completed an out-of-state educator preparation program, and met that state's testing requirements.

4. I hold (or held) a professional license from another state, completed an out-of-state educator preparation program, and have two years of satisfactory, full-time teaching experience.

5. I hold an active, professional license from another state and have three years of satisfactory, full-time teaching experience.

6. I have a baccalaureate degree or higher and no educator preparation.

7. I hold an active National Board Certificate.
   

8. I have a degree and was prepared for Montessori instruction.
   

9. I have a degree from an institution outside the United States.​

10. I hold an active Maryland license and I want to add an endorsement.

11. I want to renew my active Maryland license.

12. I would like to reinstate my expired Maryland license.

13. I am a veteran or the spouse of a veteran.

14. I am a military service member or spouse who has relocated to Maryland on military orders and holds a professional license in another state.

15. I am a Public Librarian or Public Library Director.
