Division of Educator Certification and Program Approval

Applying for Certification

Choose the option that best describes your profile:

I am a graduate of a Maryland Approved Educator Preparation Program.
I am a graduate of an out-of-state approved educator preparation program.
I hold an active professional certificate from another state, completed an out-of-state educator preparation program, and met that state's testing requirements.
I hold (or held) a professional certificate from another state, completed an out-of-state educator preparation program and have two years of satisfactory, full-time teaching experience.
I hold an active, professional certificate from another state and have three years of satisfactory, full-time teaching experience.
I have a baccalaureate degree or higher and no educator preparation.
I hold an active National Board Certificate.
I have a degree from an institution outside the United States.
I hold an active Maryland certificate and I want to add an endorsement.
I want to renew my active Maryland certificate.
I would like to reinstate my expired Maryland certificate.
I am a veteran or the spouse of a veteran.
I am a Public Librarian or Public Library Director.
